Day 154

Cloudy 55

SMS is having our Spring Book Fair next week starting today through May 25th.  Have your teachers sign up and bring you down to see all the great new Scholastic Books.  Please see Mrs. Wiechec with any questions.

All 7th and 8th grade Band and Chorus students will be taking part in the Memorial Day Assembly Rehearsal today during E Period.  Please see Mr. Dufraine with any questions.

7th and 8th grade choral students must have their permission slips and money for Six Flags as soon as possible.

Who will win a pizza party for the top homeroom in June??  It could be Mrs. Shibley’s Homeroom, Ms. Palmer’s Homeroom, Ms. Friguglietti’s Homeroom or Mrs. Cook’s Homeroom.  We will announce the winner on June 6th.  So Remember to bring in box tops to raise money for our school.

If you are interested in playing in the student/faculty dodgeball game, remember to put your SIGNED bulldog bucks in your grade level box.  Boxes will be available at all three lunches.  20 names from each grade level will be drawn 1 week before the June 16th game.  The more bucks you enter, the better chance you have of getting on your grades team.

One of our students is doing a collection for the area shelters of cleaning products and personal hygiene products.  The drop off locations are at SMS, NMS and the Westfield Police Department and runs May 17th – June 15th.

Ushers selected for tomorrow’s Memorial Day Assembly are reminded to wear their appropriate attire and should report to the library after B period.

Come check out the SMS band and chorus concert Tuesday, May 23rd at 6:30.  The concert is on the lawn so please bring blankets and chairs and support friends and musical students.

There will be a Yearbook meeting Tuesday in Mr. Colliers’s room 215 until 3:30.

Attention to all 8th grade students going on the Washington DC trip.  There will be a mandatory meeting Friday during D block.  We will be going over chaperone groups and other last minute details.
